We are a small company in PA that specializes in natural gas and propane engines, generator sets and power units. We were approached a few years ago by a few Amish business people from the Midwest looking for natural gas engines, power units and generator sets to run on natural gas or propane.

They asked if I could help them, because what they found is that engines in the 60 to 200 horsepower range were either automotive engines that were industrialized, or heavy duty industrial engines which were Caterpillar, Cummins and Doosan that ran on natural gas and propane. The automotive engines, which were affordable in price, worked well on light duty, but we’re limited in longevity.

The Caterpillar, Cummins or Doosan engines are based on the heavy duty diesel engine platform, making them strong and reliable, however the price of a new engine or generator from these companies was very cost-prohibitive

About that time we traded in a CAT G3406NA engine that needed to be rebuilt. We totally disassembled the engine to see what they did internally and we were very impressed with the design. What we started doing at that time was taking the CAT diesel engine and rebuilding them with full gas internal components. We added digital ignition systems, electronic throttle bodies Etc. We had a huge learning curve until we learned what works and what does not. We now have engines with up to approximately 24,000 hours and still running.

We are still doing this but are also selling quite a few factory machines because the prices of some of the used factory machines have declined dramatically from 2 years ago. What we are seeing now is the need for quality NEW engines, that are in the 60 to 225 HP range, to compete with the automotive engines that are in the prime duty markets like irrigation, which run for 24 hours a day for months on end, but without the golden price tag attached to them.

We are now building complete, quality new engines based off the CAT G3300 line of engines with the same components we have come to trust in our rebuild units. Our solid components with a proven track record includes Inconel Exhaust Valves with hardened seats, Digital Ignition Systems, Electronic Throttle Bodies with digital governor controls, Standard Impco Mixer/Carb, or optional Air Fuel Ratio controlled Venturi Mixer, Industrial Air Cleaner, Muffler. We also started building new engines based off of the Ford 300 inline 6-cylinder up to 60 HP. We are getting huge interest in this project.
